What is this World turning into?Firstly, there's the Mumbai Terror Attacks in of course India. It's so bloody scary when people just drive past you and start shooting at you and then you relised you have a bullet in your hand and start screaming for help. On top of that, people raiding the hotel you are living at and take you as hostage where you live in fear and go hysterical cause you don't know whether if you are going to make it out there alive. I do hope that these attacks are going to be over soon and hope India can recover and most importantly hope my Dad can come home safely who is in Ahmedabad, India (Which is kinda close to Mumbai) studying. He loves studying and taking courses in Business and Management. There are piles of books in my house regarding the topics above.
Secondly, I'm not too sure that this is pure arse luck or just plain sui (Bad Luck). I was cycling to meet Brian at the Salvation Army HQ near Bishan Park then from there we can cycle together around the park.
On my way there (I was late already), I had to cross this Bicycle crossing to the park where then I saw the green bicycle sign flashing and the red light for the cars is on and I decided to make a dash for it (Which I don't usually do. Don't really know why the hell did I got the instinct to make a dash for it, maybe the need for speed?) So I made a dash for it, out of the blue, there were two cyclists, bengs cycling cross the crossing in a breath-wise manner (I was cycling in a length-wise manner of course) and the obvious happened.
I managed to cut through the gap between the first and second cyclist however crash into the second cyclist while doing so. I fell to the floor hard and realised that I was in the middle of the road. I got up and cleared my bike of the traffic road. The second cyclist just said " Chee Bai lar" while I just said "Sorry man" while taking the blame thought I think I was not entirely at fault and I do not want to state my point of view here.
So we're now in the recovering stage. The first beng-cyclist was just taking a stick to smoke while the other beng-cyclist was just like checking out his bike. Then suddenly the jsut rode off as though nothing happened like most hmmm minor accidents here in Singapore. A "Sorry man" from me and a "Chee Bai Lar" from the Beng-Cyclist was just the two phrases we exchanged in the aftermath. Then a passer-by, cyclist said I had things on the road and I realised it was my water bottle and a bike light on the floor. I watched as my items got destroyed by a bus and car as they drove over it. Haiz.
Then I cycled to the Salvation Army as planned the whole cycling journey ended at my local bike shop where I asked the kind uncle there to repair my bike which front wheel was kinda slanted due to the force of the crash. I also bought a bike flash to replaced the destroyed one. The Uncle there also told me his story of him trying to dash for the traffic light however his was more bloody and more forceful than mine. He had 8 stiches near his eye brows where I came out unscathed (Not even a single scrath, even though it's a hard road, thank god) Now the wheel is still slanted though the brakes aren't in the contact with it. Guess I'm gonna changed the front wheel soon. Better to do it, or not my Dad will be pissed for sure as the bike's his and it's a new one :p
I'm getting tired thinking about this. Guess I better do something else, haha.
Chows, signing off.
